Who we are.

Legacy Screen Printing is a locally owned business built on hard work, quality, and community. We partner with local businesses, schools, teams, and organizations to bring your vision to life — one print at a time.

A note from the four of us

You may have known Rich, from Rich's Stitches on Route 6. For decades he handled uniforms, event shirts, and business apparel for what felt like half of Putnam County. The four of us were among his most regular customers.

When Rich passed away suddenly, we bought the shop rather than watch it close. It's Legacy Screen Printing now, named for what he built, and we've spent the last few months turning it into the shop we always wanted to order from.

What matters to us

Three things that shape how the shop runs.

  • Built local

    You deal with us directly

We are on Route 6, and the people who take your order are the people who print it. There is no account manager and nothing gets passed along. Come by and handle the garments before you commit to forty of them.

  • Printed with purpose

We ask what it is for

A fundraiser, a season opener, a new hire, a uniform that has to survive a year of washing — the answer changes what we would put you in. So we ask before we quote rather than after.

  • Supporting our community

    We keep your records

Artwork, ink colors, thread counts, who wore what size. Teams and departments reorder every year, and the second order should be a phone call rather than starting over.

How we work

  • You approve the art before we print

Every job gets a proof: your artwork laid out on the actual garment, at the actual size, in the actual colors. Nothing goes to press until you have said yes to it in writing. If you ask for a change, that is a new proof, not a verbal promise.

  • We count twice

Short orders are the single worst thing that happens in this trade, and they happen to everyone eventually — blanks arrive short, a shirt gets ruined on press. We count what arrives and count again before it goes out, and if we are short we tell you before you find out yourself.

  • You get one setup, not three

A logo printed on tees, hoodies and ladies tees is one screen setup, charged once, across three garments. Some shops bill it three times. We do not, and our own system will not let us.

  • We say no to work we would do badly

If a job wants a process we are not the right shop for, or a deadline we cannot hit without cutting a corner, we will say so. A missed date costs you more than a lost quote costs us.

Come by the shop

We are on Route 6 in Mahopac. If you want to feel the difference between a cheap blank and a good one before you commit to two hundred of them, that is worth twenty minutes in person.
